Vasilena Stancheva has a Master's degree in Metal from the National Academy of Arts - Sofia. In addition to medal sculpture and coin design, she finds inspiration in metal sculpture and jewellery. Author of two minted commemorative coins of the BNB. Winner of international scholarships and awards (Italy, UK, USA). Participant in exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad (Japan, Great Britain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Serbia), as well as in residency programs (Kremnica, Slovakia, Paris, France).
Member of the International Art Medal Federation - FIDEM.
